Ricosta Capital exists to create financial choices for successful businesses. After 30 years working with SMEs, we understand that each business is unique and we work alongside our clients to develop tailored financial solutions that meet their funding requirements and provide the financial leadership and mentoring to grow and develop their businesses.

Today, businesses face the twin challenges of an uncertain economic environment and increasing restrictions imposed by legislators. Against this backdrop, Ricosta Capital works with businesses to develop bespoke solutions that enable businesses to manage their capital and financial assets, the foundation for future business growth.

We built our business by providing non-bank funding to SME businesses but now we also offer a suite of intelligence services to help growing businesses manage their capital and financial assets. Working capital and trade finance can present unique challenges but using our experience we are able to help businesses solve even the most complex of problems.

Our approach is relational because we believe that businesses are about people, and we are passionate about helping people build successful businesses that not only benefit business leaders but the communities they serve.

Meet the team.

Richard is a highly experienced finance professional who has worked for over 30 years helping SME’s achieve their financial objectives. Originally trained by Natwest in the late 1980’s, he has worked for lenders in a number of different environments such as credit and risk, and has also spent 10 years working in senior roles in the invoice finance arena. Since 2007, Richard has worked as an adviser supporting SME’s and lenders, specialising in working capital and cashflow lending scenarios.

In over 40 years in banking, Ian has significant experience within the trade finance sector working for a number of UK and international banks. Ian has broken ground with innovative financing solutions for importation of capital goods, and his wealth of experience in all things international plays a significant part in the funding solutions that Ricosta Capital provides.

Andy has enjoyed a career in commercial banking with Lloyds & latterly, cashflow growth lending with The FSE Group, with experience in supporting SMEs to large corporates across the East & West Midlands. He has developed a deeper knowledge & network across certain sectors, particularly manufacturing and Tech. Andy enjoys supporting management teams by delivering funding and strategic solutions that create long term value. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute and completed an MBA, with Distinction, in 2022.
